Bio

Jam Acuzar is a cultural producer based between Tokyo and Manila.

Acuzar founded and operated Bellas Artes Projects (BAP) from 2013-2022, a non-profit arts organisation operating across Bataan and Manila dedicated to supporting creative and knowledge production through artist residencies, exhibition programs, and interdisciplinary collaborations. In 2016, BAP established ESKWELA, an alternative, experimental school fostering transdisciplinary thought in art-making and curatorial practice. BAP served as a vital arts institution connecting international artists, curators, and diverse publics in the Philippines.

During her time in Tokyo, Acuzar has been involved in Art Collaboration Kyoto as Guest Curator for Public Programmes in 2022 and as an ACK Ambassador since. She has been active in the Tokyo art scene since 2020, while also co-producing works with artists such as Gabriel Hartley, Jane Jin Kaisen, Joshua Serafin, Paul Pfeiffer, Tuan Andrew Nguyen among others.

Now based in Tokyo, Acuzar continues her practice in 2026 with the establishment of an art agency, alongside an upcoming project platform titled Pr o p o siti o ns.
